Big Foot

We had a road trip planned to go to the Colorado Rockies in October 2022 but unforeseen circumstances forced us to cancel it.   So October 2023 around my husband's birthday we rescheduled the trip and had a fantastic time.  I think it was even better because the weather was better at the dates we went than what we had looked at when we cancelled in 2022.     We did day trips out from a Denver suburb where we stayed for 5 days and just explored all we wanted to see in the surrounding areas.s    This picture was from our first full day and a long drive exploring the Rocky Mountain National Park.

I used the challenge for February at  "CHALLENGE YOURSELF" in making this layout.

Ski Trip

I played along with the Scrappy Friends Double Challenge for February.    A sketch from the blog       "THROUGH THE EYES OF ROCHELLE SPEARS"    and then the Tic-Tac-Toe board challenge at         "SCRAP WITH STACY"   I did the diagonal right to left   Banner, Triangle & Wood.

FAMILY

My one little word for 2024 is "FAMILY".    This picture was taken over Thanksgiving when I had both of my kids together.   My daughter and family live here in town so I can see them all the time but my son lives in Dallas.   I did go there in June for a visit this last year and then he was here for Thanksgiving.   This year I will go to see all of them again in May because my oldest grandson graduates from High School and then they will all be here for Christmas this year.   But I'm going to do my best to get everyone together over the summer.    I just love it when we can all be together.

I made this layout for my chronological Thanksgiving album.    I'll probably use the picture or one similar two more times, one for each of my kids.

I'll be entering this at  "SCRAP CHALLENGE YOURSELF"  for the January challenge #121.

Thanksgiving Turkey

I made this layout for my son's family album.   This is him making his famous friend turkey for Thanksgiving.    Covered with a Cajun rub, injected with a great marinade and now going into the hot peanut oil.     It was so good.

I used the sketch for January from  "THROUGH THE EYES OF ROCHELLE SPEARS SCRAPBOOKING"   She always has a great sketch and I'll be keeping this one to use again.

Then I am combining this for the January Scrappy Friends Challenge using the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge at   "SCRAP WITH STACY".    I did the center row across, Number(s), Tag & Two Photos.

Santas All Over

These are some of the Santas that sit around our home over the Christmas holidays.  My collection keeps growing.     I made this layout using the sketch and twist at Challenge #682 at "LASTING MEMORIES".  The twist was to use a die cut or punch,   My title is a die cut and a punch for the snowflake.

Our Grandkids

I ran out of one color for my photo printer and the replacement cartridge won't be here until tomorrow so for the last few days I've had to pull out old photos printed long ago to make layouts.

I used this photo of my parents and my two kids in front and my nephew Dad is holding.   We were all together for Christmas 1989 at our house, including both of my grandmothers, so in all we had four generations together.

I used  "ROCHELLE SPEARS" December sketch for this layout.    Then combined it with the tic-tac-toe challenge at  "SCRAP WITH STACY."    I went on the angle left to right Twine/Ribbon - Plaid - Tag.

Santa and his (her) Elf

My husband and I took a day and evening trip back to Kansas City to see all the special Christmas places we use to go to when we lived there.     One stop was at Union Station and they have really added on to one area for Christmas with all kinds of places for photo ops and once was this little place to place your face as Santa and his elf.   I'm sure it was more for the kids but I couldn't resist.

I'm entering this at "CHALLENGE YOURSELF" with the December challenge of Anything Goes as long as you have a picture of yourself.
