My Weekend PL page

I had a great weekend with my daughter, SIL, granddaughter, brother and Dad this past weekend so I decided to make one full PL page about it.      Sketch #88 at  "SKETCHES IN THYME PL STYLE"  was perfect for my journaling card.

And then here is my full PL page that I used it on.

Here is the sketch and link for the challenge at   "SKETCHES IN THYME PROJECT LIFE STYLE"

My Pumpkin

I had a great weekend with my granddaughter and family.   We took her to her first pumpkin patch and had many photo ops.   We had fun and took pumpkins home to cook with dinner that night and also to decorate.

I'm going to enter this layout in four different challenges, a sketch challenge, color challenge and two theme challenges.

I'll start with the sketch challenge.   Challenge #139 at  "SKETCH N SCRAP"   It was perfect for two of the picture of me holding Elle and one of the pumpkins out in the patch.
Here is the sketch and the link is in the name above.

Next is the color palette challenge at   "THE STUDIO CHALLENGES"   it coved all the colors I used in my layout with the different patterned papers and my card stock matting plus my title color and the embellishments.   The link is in the name and here is the color Palette.

Moving right along I went to  "RUBBER BUGGY CHALLENGE BLOG"    This is challenge #4 and I have to say I'm really having fun playing along with the challenge here.   So glad I found out about it.     I love all the fall activities of festivals, pumpkin patches, apple picking.    So much fun for everyone.     Challenge #4 theme is......

Finally the challenge at   "USE YOUR STUFF"    Challenge #284  is Tis the Season for Pumpkin Spice, you could use orange, a little or a lot on your project or add a pumpkin to your project.   I have done both some pumpkins and some orange in my papers.   I really used my stuff on this, lots of paper pieces and card stock scraps for matting and some embellishments I've had for awhile and the poem that I've hoarded forever.

Challenge #284 - Tis The Season For Pumpkin Spice

Happy Halloween witch

Yes I'm still making Halloween cards and having a blast.   The bonus is I'm using up a lot of paper I've been stocking and embellishments for the season, because I have a lot.

This card is for Challenge #132 - Halloween at  "FANTABULOUS CRICUT".
The challenge is to make a project about anything Halloween.   Well this witch streaking across the moon sure says Halloween to me.

I used the Celebrate with a Flourish cartridge.   I've had this cartridge for ions and I absolutely love it.

So happy Monday and happy creating at "FANTABULOUS CRICUT"

I've been making a lot of Halloween cards and fall layouts lately so I've been weeding through all these seasonal papers and embellishments for a couple of weeks now at least.   I have a couple of challenges I will enter this card into.   First when I saw the new sketch #179 at   "FEELING SKETCHY" this morning I immediately knew what embellishments I had for the perfect card to go with the sketch.   Then I found this starry paper, used it for my background and inked all the edges in black to make it a little more night like and added my cobweb, sentiment and some 3D spiders and viola another Halloween card made.   I love this season and I love using up what I've been collecting over the years.

Here is the sketch and the link to the challenge #179 at   "FEELING SKETCHY"  You have 12 days left from today to enter this challenge.

The second challenge I am going to enter my card in is  "THE PAPER PLAYERS"  Challenge #PP366 is Clean and simple Spooky.     This card is basically black and white with a spot of purple so I consider it pretty clean and simple and the Spooky part has to be the cobwebs, thats spooky when you get caught in there with all the spiders.     Here is the link to "THE PAPER PLAYERS"  for all the details.

A Fall card

Today is card making day and I started off with the Fall card using the "TIC-TAC-TOE" Challenge.
Then I'm also playing along with the "RUBBER BUGGY CHALLENGE"

This was challenge 19 and there is a new Tic-Tac-Toe challenge every week.

Here is the board to play with.   I did the right hand vertical row.   Geometric shapes, layers and Autumn.    It was hard to decide which row to use, so many ways to go.   I think I'm next going to write a note inside and send it to my Dad.   I was with him yesterday but I still think he would like to get happy mail.

Play along here every week at  "TIC-TAC-TOE CHALLENGE"

The challenge #4 at  "THE RUBBER BUGGY"   is   Fall/Autumn and/or Halloween.      So my Fall card is perfect for this challenge.    Plus you can enter as many projects as you like.

8 months old

I can't believe my youngest grandchild is growing so fast.   Why can't babies stay little for a couple of years and hold them the whole time and then learn to walk at two years.   That would be my choice.

This layout is for my reveal for Sketch #98 at "THE MEMORY NEST"   I hope you are all playing along.   Only two more reveals until we get to #100 and a $25 Gift Card for the winner from all entries in Sept. Oct and Nov.

Here is the sketch and I hope you play along with it at   "THE MEMORY NEST"

Love this baby girl

I took a bunch of pictures of Elle a couple of weeks ago when they were all here with us at the lake for the weekend.   She is just growing way to fast.    That is why I used the number paper with this layout, just showing how the weeks and months are flying by.    She turned 8 months old a week later.

Since I used the number paper I am entering this layout at   "COLORFUL CREATIONS"
The Oct. 1st challenge is called 'By the Numbers'

Next I used the sketch challenge #3 at "THE RUBBER BUGGY"  to make my layout.       It was perfect for two pictures.    The problem was I had to pick just two from probably the 10 I took of Elle sitting there.

Here are the links and info............

By The Numbers

Hey all, welcome to our first challenge of the Fall!  For this challenge we want you to create a project using numbers! It can be in the form of your papers, titles, photos, whatever, let your imagination be your guide!

Autumn Boat Ride

I used the Fall Mood Board at  "CHALLENGE YOURSELF"  in mind while I made this layout.
I know the picture doesn't look like fall but this was taken Sunday when we had a beautiful 85 degree day here at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.   We can have nice days in October here in Missouri but very rare for it to be in the 80's and we had two days in a row  and then suppose to be 84 again on Friday.   Hopefully another boat ride day.   Have to take advantage of them all we can while its nice out.    But even though the picture doesn't scream Fall I wanted to use fall colors and title and embellishments.

Here is the link to this challenge #46 at "CHALLENGE YOURSELF"  and  the Mood Board for your inspiration.   Obviously I went with the fall colors and then sprinkled leaf stickers around the layout to go with the leaves in the mood board.    As always you have to have a picture of yourself on your layout and for a change I have a picture of just me.

Nothing is better than Caramel Apples, my all time favorite.    So when I saw these pictures of the
grandkids, Gibson and Addisyn I knew I had to make a layout of them.   Plus had to run out and find somewhere selling caramel apples.    :) :) :)

I used sketch #138 at   "SKETCH N SCRAP"  for this layout.     Thats the link to the blog and here is the sketch.

Another Halloween card monster

I'm really enjoying making Halloween cards this year.   I've really been digging into my stash and using scraps and full pieces of papers and embellishments I've been hoarding.   Fun, fun, fun putting everything together on the cards.

This card I made for the Monster Mash challenge at  "STINKIN INKERS"
This is my first time entering this challenge but I'm looking forward to joining the fun more often not that I have found the blog.   Thanks Ashley Walker for the link.

I loved playing along with the October Jump Start sketch challenge at "THE SCRAP ROOM"
It certainly did give me a feeling of jumping into the fall season while making this layout.
I used pictures of the decorations this year at my Grandkids home in St. Louis.

Here is the sketch and the link to   "THE SCRAP ROOM BLOG"

After living in the suburbs of Kansas City and then moving to the Lake of the Ozarks under two months ago I am amazed at the beautiful sunsets I can see almost every night from our windows.
Just a whole different view of nature here and we LOVE it.    I'm entering this layout in 4 challenges, one being a double.     So here are what they are.

I made this layout using the October rewind sketch at  "ROCHELLE SPEARS BLOGSPOT"   It was perfect for this picture and then I combined it for the Scrappy Friends challenge with
"GRAND DIVA'S CREATIVE CORNER"  to use a one word title.    My title is "Amazing"
I love when I can combine these two challenges together for the Scrappy Friends.

I was a day late last week getting my layout in at  "USE YOUR STUFF" so I wasn't going to miss it this week.  Challenge #283-Breast Cancer Awareness.    You must use PINK on your project.   I have three strips of pink patterned paper and the pink in my sunset picture.

I will also enter this layout as my 2nd entry at "THE PAPER GIRLS CHALLENGE" to use wooden elements on your project.   My title is wood.    Every time I go to Michaels I stock up on these as I love using them for a simple title that tells the story of my layout.

Here are the links to the challenges.

Challenge #283: Breast Cancer Awareness

Challenge #137 - Wooden Element Challenge

Boat Ride

I love adding little wood veneer pieces to my layout.   This one I have four pieces, 2 arrows and two hearts.     I'll be entering this layout at   "THE PAPER GIRLS CHALLENGE"   as challenge #137 is
'Wood Element' challenge.   You could use little wood pieces like I did, or something larger like wooden letters for a title (I have a big collection of those too)  or wood grain paper.

Here is the link to this challenge at  "THE PAPER GIRLS CHALLENGE"   you still have 5 days to enter before the next challenge is announced.

Just Add Ink #380

I've had this stamped image for a few years now just waiting till I would finally color it.
I'm not a big coloring person, but I used a combo of markers, color pens and color pencils to
color this image.    Then I got to the really hard part.   Fussy cutting all around it.

I wasn't sure how I was going to use it but I had the sketch from  "JUST ADD INK"  #380
sitting at the side of my desk and I also had this orange card base sitting out just calling me to use.
So I decided to put them all together and make a fall card and leave it as is with no sentiment on the front, but I can write inside of it and decide how I will use it.

Here is the sketch and the link to   "JUST ADD INK"

WCMD Card - 2 Challenges

Here is one of the cards I've made today for World Card Making Day.     Started the day with rainy and windy weather so got all of my card making supplies out.   But then the weather cleared and we went to a nearby Fall Craft festival,  walked around and had lunch and then came home.     So now back to card making.    This card is from sketch #1 for World Card Making Day 2017 at
"SKETCH N SCRAP"    I used this sketch to make a colorful Thanksgiving card.

Here is the sketch and this is the link to  "SKETCH N SCRAP"  there will be 3 more extra card sketches this month and you have till October 31st to enter.

I am also entering this card in the   "CRAZY 4 CHALLENGES"  BLOG    This is challenge
#406 and since its World Card Making Day they have an easy challenge.    It is...............
wait for it..................       Drum Roll..................   Make a card, any card, any shape, any design.
So here it is my Thanksgiving card with not your ordinary Thanksgiving colors but I think it works.

October PL page

I worked on my first week of October PL page today.    I once again used a sketch at
"SKETCHES IN THYME PL STYLE"   for my monthly title page.   I always get great sketches and inspiration to use here.    I did have to rotate the sketch to fit my first pocket but still worked out great.  Here it is  sketch #87.    You can click on the name above to go to the challenge.      After the sketch I have included my full PL page I made to start the month.

Happy Birthday Leslie

My daughters birthday isn't until next month but when I saw the challenge #100 - Animals at
"SCRAPPING4FUN"   I knew just what animal to use.    My daughter has a Masters degree in Primatology so a monkey was perfect for her card.      Next I looked for a sketch to use as the
basis of my card and thats when I went to "CAS-UAL FIRDAYS".   They had the perfect sketch today, sketch #184.   I just added a little to it by personalizing my card with her name.

Here are the links.

Trick or Treat card

So glad I found this blog.    Thanks Bev Code for the link.    I will be playing along with the challenges for sure.    Starting with the card I made this morning using the October 1st card sketch.
I really enjoyed putting my card together using the sketch.
Here is the sketch #3 and link to  "THE RUBBER BUYGGY CHALLENGE"

I am also entering my card at   Challenge #311 - Pumpkins at   "FANTABULOUS CRICUT CHALLENGE BLOG"    I just love the fun pumpkin cricut cut.   You just have to be sure and use one cricut cut on your entry and obviously with the theme this week that is a pumpkin.  I am sure whichever Grandchild I decide to send this card to is also going to like this fun pumpkin.    Just click above to go to the challenge.

Then I went to  "PAUSE DREAM ENJOY CHALLENGES"  blog and their challenge #193 is also
Pumpkins.    So lucky me I get to enter my card there also.     You can get the to the link for the challenge by clicking on the name above.  There is still time to play along with the challenge.

I love when I get to combine so many challenge.   The last one for this card will be   "BITTEN BY THE BUG"    This weeks challenge is  'Great Pumpkin Challenge'     Use your cricut to cut a fun pumpkin for your project and that is just what I did.    Click the name above for the link to this gun challenge.   Still a couple days left to enter

Happy Halloween CAS(E) card

When I saw this sketch this morning at   "CAS(E) this SKETCH"    I knew I wanted to work on it right away.    Since I need Halloween cards for the kids and grandkids,  yes my grown kids still get Halloween cards from me, I used the sketch to make a Halloween card.

Here is the sketch and link to the challenge #242 at  "CAS(E) this SKETCH"

Our Home

I bought a new album today to start with all our lake pictures now that we have moved here.
So I thought making this double page layout with pictures of our new house should go first into the album.     I used the October 1st sketch at  "LET'S SCRAP"     It was fun going through my stash and finding a lot of  swap items that I have been hoarding to use on this layout.

Here is the sketch and the link to the challenge at  "LET'S SCRAP"

a Fall card

Here is a welcome to Fall card I made that I will send to one of my grandkids.
I am going to enter this in two challenges.

1.  "THE PAPER PLAYERS"  The theme challenge #364 for this week is "Autumn Floral"
Well to me that has to be the beauty of all the tree leaves changing colors so that is what
I see in this card.   In my background paper and the sticker tree.

2.  "JO'S SCRAP SHACK"   -  this is for their weekly Fun-Day Friday challenge #208 - "Anything Goes with Lawn Fawn".    And that is who the sponsor for the week is and the prize.

Addisyn got to visit her Dad at work and I thought this was such a sweet picture when I saw it I just had to make a layout of it.    Now I just have to search back in Facebook and find the date to add to it.

This is my reveal for the latest "THE MEMORY NEST" Make it Monday sketch#97 and the first one for October.  I hope to see a lot of you playing along.

I'm starting my October scrapping with a layout of my stepson and his kids and the pictures of their first October outing they did yesterday.     A  pumpkin patch and apple orchard.

I am entering this in 3 different challenges.

Plus I got to use a lot of my Halloween/Fall paper stash on the layout.

Last but not least I am entering my layout at   "PAPER ISSUES"   for the New Issue Monday challenge.-Which Kraft.   Some of the ideas were,   Anything to do with Halloween or October outing, Use texture such as burlap or for,  create a project about the crafts you do.  you Kraft elements on your project.   I went with the October outings idea for this layout
