AUGUST PL TITLE CARD

If you know me at all, you know I keep right up to date with my PL pages.   But once I started packing my scrapbook things away early in July I wasn't able to keep up.   But for the last two days of scrapping I have caught up on all of July pages (5 in total) and then I made my card for August and will start on those pages tomorrow.

For my title card I always check out the sketches at "SKETCHES IN THYME PL STYLE"
I know I can always find great sketches there.      And I wasn't disappointed, this was sketch #84 for the last week of August.    They had so many great sketches this month, I will have to go back and use more of them.

Here is the sketch and check out the details   HERE.

Safety First

Granddaughter Elle went on her first airplane trip when she was just shy of 6 months old this year.
Mom and Dad she was a trouper and was good and quiet the entire flight and even got complaints from the flight attendants and other passengers that had the "luck" of being seated close to a baby.

I just loved this picture they sent me from the airplane.    Being her first flight of course she had to
check out all the safety instructions.    I couldn't help but smile and laugh when  I saw this picture.

For this layout I used the August Single page sketch from  "STICK IT DOWN"

Starting 7th Grade

Now have a layout made of Bryce and his first day starting 7th grade this year.    This completes all the St. Louis grandkids first day of school pictures.   Next is Orlando grand-daughters and then
Texas grandkids, but I don't think they have started yet.   So still have more pictures to get.

I'm entering this layout in three different challenges.

The August 15th sketch challenge at  "STUCK ?! SKETCHES"

And then Challenge #277 at  "USE YOUR STUFF"  - Back to School, Back to Work
It's back to school time for all the grandkids.   Kind of back to work for me too because after almost 2 months away from scrapping because of our move, I'm back to the work that I love....Scrapbooking.

Last but not least.   I did challenge #359 - Polka Dots at  "LASTING MEMORIES"   the upcoming challenges that will be due in September are All About Patterns starting with Polka Dots.

Back to School Time

WOW, its been almost 2 months since I made a layout.   We moved from Kansas City to the Lake of the Ozark.  We packed in KC it seems like for a solid 3 weeks and then move-in day at the Lake was August 22nd and yesterday I finally got my new scrapbook to a workable area.  I still have shelves to be delivered for my albums and more organization to do, but at least now I have my computer and printer set up and I'm back to work.

The St. Louis family and grands will be here this weekend so I wanted to have a few more layouts ready to give them to take home with them.    Their school started at the middle of the month so I had these first day pictures of them to make this layout.

I used the August 15th sketch #135 at "SKETCH N SCRAP"  to work with these pictures and used some of my school stash from past swaps I've been in.    I loved this background paper and that I got to use it up and the swap items I've been saving.

So happy to be back to scrapping and entering a few challenges before the end of the month.

Hawaii Views

Lately I've been scrapping some pictures for my sons album of a trip he took with his uncle, his cousin and his grandfather to Maui, Hawaii.     Just the guys and they all had a blast.

For these pictures I used the newest sketch for August at  "SKETCHES IN THYME"
I used papers from the Craft Smith collection - Honeydew.      I've made one more layout from this trip using papers from this collection so they should go together well.

Here is the link to  "SKETCHES IN THYME"  and the sketch.   Come back every day for more reveals from our design team.
